Franziska Fitz, DVM, GPCertSAS, DACVIM (Neurology)

Dr. Fitz grew up on a horse farm in South Germany, where her father, a veterinarian, inspired her career path from an early age. Pursuing her passion for animals, she earned her veterinary degree in the Czech Republic and completed a rigorous European Surgery Certificate. She further honed her expertise through a residency in South Florida before relocating to Las Vegas, drawn to its open spaces and opportunities for outdoor pursuits.

Dr. Fitz partnered with Dr. Johnson to co-found Neuro Vet, united by a shared vision for exceptional veterinary neurological care. Her true passion lies in neurosurgery, where her exceptional surgical precision and breadth enable her to handle complex cases with confidence. Committed to restoring her patients’ quality of life and providing hope for owners, she finds deep fulfillment in solving challenging cases. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Fitz is a dedicated educator, lecturing nationally and internationally to share her expertise with referring veterinarians, residents, and veterinary technician programs.

Outside the hospital, she stays active, training for marathons and Ironman races, and exploring trails with her four dogs—three Belgian Malinois and one mixed breed—an honorary Mal!
